About Hotel Ritzli, San Jose Costa Rica
Forty years ago, when San José was the center of commerce, Ritzli Hotel was part of a great history where handshakes and a cup of coffee sealed all of the business deals.
During this time, Don Hans, a Swiss man that crossed the Atlantic and decided to settle in Costa Rica, found his true love and married Doña Sonia, a beautiful Costa Rican woman who conquered his heart. Sonia and Hans dedicated their lives to cultural exchange and sharing their stories and their house with any tourist that stayed in the Ritzli Hotel, or as it was known before, the Ritz Hotel.
In this manner, history permitted us to start the adventure of being protagonists to the resurgence of tourism in San José, Costa Rica, some 20 years ago. We have many stories from people all over the world that have spent the night in our hotel and that have packed in their bags for home not only souvenirs, but also incredible memories of Costa Rica and its natural grandeur.
Today, following the transition to the 21st century, we have renovated the hotel, letting you glimpse within its walls the very life of Costa Rica reflected in every corner and in every cup of coffee that we share.
Ritzli Hotel is located in the heart of San José, Costa Rica and offers 17 comfortable rooms with private bathrooms and personalized service. As a courtesy, we also extend complimentary tourist and cultural information services, a staff that can speak Spanish, English, and German, and abundant Costa Rican hospitality.
